Impetus is a project focused on sustainability in the yachting industry by regenerating an existing vessel’s life cycle. Originally built in 1958 as a German tugboat, Impetus served for decades in the canals of Venice before falling into disuse due to obsolete systems. Cantieri Oltre has reimagined the vessel, transforming a workboat with steel construction into a pleasure yacht. The original hull and stylistic details have been restored, while hybrid diesel propulsion and onboard systems update the yacht. With a length of 25 meters, Impetus offers generous volumes and a connection with the sea. Large panoramic windows flood the interiors with natural light, creating interior spaces with above-average ceiling heights and uninterrupted views. The flexible aft deck adapts to tender storage, sunbathing, or entertaining, while the interior layout flows from a welcoming lounge to a full-beam dining area and an owner’s suite designed to enhance continuity between indoor and outdoor living. Guest accommodation includes a spacious vip cabin with private exterior access, 2 additional en-suite guest cabins, and dedicated crew quarters. The upper deck features a professional show-galley and an expansive dining area for up to 12 guests, complemented by a sunset lounge at the stern. A generous sun deck crowns the yacht, integrating relaxation areas with discreet energy-generation systems housed within the funnel.
